If Submission Payment is successful, redirect to Next page

Asked by Daniel Barker  on March 23, 2016 at 04:42 PM

    Hi,

I'm trying to set up a site to take payment for a product, then when payment is successful (and only then) direct to my next page which will enable the customer to upload files.

I'm using a pagecloud site with Jotforms integrated.

Please could you give me some advice?

    Many thanks,

    Dan

Unfortunately, we don't support that kind of authorization. You could create a custom Thank you page that would lead to another form that will have the upload file field. However, I don't think this will work for you, since the form that users access is not protected with any authorization.

If you think that this could work for you you can try creating a Custom thank you page.

However, if you plan on using Paypal for payment you will have to enable Auto-return option for this to work, otherwise the Paypal will ignore the URL.

The Paypal integration also won't redirect without user interaction. The user will have to click the "Return to merchants website" to be returned to the custom thank you page you provided.

Note: If you don't want to be redirected to Paypal payment gateway you will have to use Paypal PRO.

Please let us know if this kind of solution would work for you.

    Hi Dan,

You may also want to try using Edit Link instead.

    user guide: How-to-Let-Users-Update-Their-Form-Submissions-at-a-Later-Date

Using the Email, you can redirect the form submitter back to the form again to Edit the submission (upload file) after confirmation of successfully doing a submission payment.

Thank you very much. The 'Edit Link' method could be quite a cool option. If I do that, is it possible to link the dropbox folder name to their order number? So they'd pay, be assigned an order number, click the link in their email which would take them to a page to upload their files, and the dropbox folder would be named with their order number.

    Cheers,

    Dan

It is possible to have the files forwarded to Dropbox, however, they would need to be uploaded with the initial submission.  The folder created in Dropbox can be named with the submission ID number.  You could also use a second form to collect the files to be forwarded to Dropbox:

OK, so if I understand correctly, it would  not be possible to create the autoresponse email in such a way that it took the order number from the first form and inserted it into the form that the user went to when they click the link?

Sorry but I did not understand your question. Can you please provide us more details about what you are trying to achieve?

What my colleague suggest is to create second (upload form). When you first form (payment form) is submitted you should redirect your users to your second form where they can upload their files. You can place link of you second form on Thank you page or inside of Autoresponder email.

In case that you want to pass some data from your first form to your second form, please check this guide to see how to do it:

    Looking forward to your reply.
