    Import APP : getting "Error: Unrecognised Field" when importing and payment fields do not have proper headers in sample

    i just accidentally deleted everyone in  my database! can i get i back?

     

    please help!!!!

    Unfortunately it is not possible to restore your deleted data, once you delete it s deleted from our database as well, this is why you are asked for your password before to continue with this action, if you have downloaded previously your data as Excel or CSV file then you could import all this data: http://www.jotform.com/help/308-Import-App-Easily-import-your-Excel-or-CSV-data-into-JotForm.

    sooo yah, i understand that you say it's easy but....

    i got all of these errors. i read your "directions" but there are not enough fields for my excel sheet.

     ..and i looked at the form and then my sheet and they match.. sooo i'm thoroughly confused.

    Sorry for the inconvenience. I was able to reproduce the errors you are having. It seems that when you export the data, headers are exported using the labels and not the ID (which is needed to import)

    In the import data app, it will indicate how the headers should look like. You just need to copy the headers displayed and replace it in the first line of your file.

    I recommend doing a quick scan, just to verify that all the headers are being replaced correctly. If you require further assistance, please let us know.

    so the fields in the import tool don't have the same fields that are on my excel... I swear i'm not an idiot, but i cant seem to figure this out.

    Do not worry. I just cloned and submitted a test form. When I exported the data you will see the header of the excel file uses the labels, while the header required to import uses ID.

    You just need to replace:

    SUBMISSION DATE for CREATE_AT

    FIRST and LAST NAME for 46_NAME

    Team Name Please select your team from the drop-down menu. If you do not see your team, select "Other" and write it in. for 8_Team Name Please select your team from the drop-down menu. If you do not see your team, select "Other" and write it in. 

    and so on.

    my fields on my excel file are exactly the same as the form. that's what i am not getting.

    Please share us the excel file so we can check it. You should good to go if the headers are matched already. Let us know so we can check that and try the import process to our end using your file. Just to confirm if the problem is on the exce file or the import app.

    Hi,

    As indicated in the email sent earlier, I would get back to you if I could find the proper headers for the last three fields (Payment fields). Unfortunately, I could not. I have open a ticket for our backend team, asking for the proper information.

    I have also indicated that this app should be actualized, as people how are not tech savvy can have many problems importing submissions. As you can see it is not hard, but require to be detail oriented as it can cause many problems.

    As soon as we have any update, we will let you know. Sorry for this inconvenience.
