This is because you have modified your email template and you have enabled the option to hide empty fields on email notifications, this option only works with the default email template, it means that if you edit this template then empty fields will be shown on emails, I checked and seems like the new wizard does not show when data is locked, something that was shown on the old wizard.

New Email Wizard: It is not showing that data table is locked when hiding empty fields on email notifications Screenshot 20

To resolve this, please go to this link: http://www.jotform.com/?old, open each email notification and then click on the button "Lock Data Table", the same that is shown on the image above, it will hide empty fields, but it will set to the email notifications the default template and you will not be able to modify this.

I will report this issue to our developer so they will fix it and it will show you if the data table is locked or not, also do note that when data table is locked then empty fields are hidden.

I was always able to modify the e-mail template by adding intro text and updating the rows in the data table and still hide empty fields and have it work

As long as I use the data table that is already embedded there it has never been an issue.

I removed rows in these e-mails and add some text on top of the data table, but I did not modify the template in a way that should cause a hide empty fields function to stop working.

Thank you for having the developers look into it. I have noticed a lot of weird issues lately. I'll post a separate message about it

    Hi,

I tried the http://www.jotform.com/?old link above but it is still the new version of the editor that loads. I made sure I was fully logged out before I tried the link.

Please let me know how to get to the old version so I can access the lock option

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Can you try the following : 'https://www.jotform.com//?formID={id}&old=true' - replace the {id} portion by the specific form ID. You can also open the form in Builder as normal and append '&old=true' to the URL.

That worked for taking me back to the old version of the e-mails. When I tried to lock the data table I got a message that said it could not be locked. Should I recreate the e-mail and try again?

Also, now there is a new issue

The new version of the editor has updated the form preferences view and the option to hide fields on e-mails doesn't seem to be available any more. Was it moved somewhere else?

Using the old version you should be able to lock it after enabling 'Hide Empty Fields on Emails' under preferences. If you can't, try to re-create a new Notification and remove the old one.

Although there was some update on the preferences Wizard, the 'Hide Empty Fields on Emails' options should still be available under Advanced Settings ( Same using old version ).

I also suggest you made a clone of the form to make all the tests and leave the original untouched so you can always have a backup of it for reference.

Could you please take a screenshot that shows where the hide empty fields option is in the new editor?

    I can't find it

    Thanks,

It's under Preferences menu > Advanced Setting.

wait never mind - the new editor version of form preferences went away

are you guys testing some new design?

recently features keep coming and going. like all of a sudden I could drag and drop things from a menu into a form, then I couldn't. Sometimes I have the ability to drag fields where you want them on the form instead of using move  up/ down or manage multiple fields and sometimes not. These features seems to come and go randomly
