The embed form plugin does not work with Serverpress Desktopserver?

I am using Desktopserver for offline Wordpress website development. I installed the jotform embed form plug in. I see JotForm icon appearing in the edit page section, but when clicked it stays dead, no pop up with JotForms.

As a workaround I cut and pasted the embed code into the text area within Wordpress area and that works, but I rather like to use the plugin.

    Any ideas?

    Thx!

The embed form plugin cannot be used offline and I believe it can only be used through Wordpress.  The plugin adds the same embed code that is added when copying and pasting the embed code.

Thanks for quick response! With "offline" I mean, I develop local on the PC in WordPress "within" Serverpress (this what Serverpress is meant for) and not direct in WordPress on the hosting party over the Internet. Of course I am 'online' with the Internet with when developing in WP/Serverpress. It looks like the JotForm plugin does not make the 'connection'.

Does this shine a new light on this case?

    Thx!

I believe the plugin only works from within the actual Wordpress environment.

Thx! I think so too. I will use normal embed then while working in Serverpress for development & testing.

Hi, I encounter the same issue in the life environment on WP hosting site. The plug-in installs but stays 'dead' when clicked. No pop-up with available forms. I use Wordpress 4.4. Any idea what to look for?

I am not sure why the plugin is not working on your end.  Is there a specific reason why using the embed code instead of the plugin?

There are other ways to embed form to WordPress. Inside of this guide find out how to Embed Form to Wordpress.com:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/299-How-to-Embed-Form-to-Wordpress-com

And inside of this guide you can find how to add form to Wordpress.org version:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/4-Adding-Forms-to-Wordpress-org-version

If this does not help you can try to embed your form with iFrame code. Inside of this guide you can find out how to get iFrame code of your form: http://www.jotform.com/help/148-Getting-the-Form-iFrame-Code

I use the embed code (via 'Publish and then cut&paste in 'text') because the plugin does not work? I'd rather like to work with the plugin:-)

The plugin is working as far as I can tell.  If it is not on your end, I would recommend using the embed code instead.  It has the same functionality in the end.
