Published template disappears after some time (day or two)

I have created a form, and published as a template. This has been done at least three times now, and each time the template disappears. Been speaking with Ben who advised me to log this here.

the URL generated when I published the form last was

    https://eu.jotform.com/form-templates/meeting-attendance-amp-dining-2

the one prior to that was

    https://eu.jotform.com/form-templates/meeting-attendance-amp-dining

I would be grateful if someone could take a look as to why the form keeps disappearing

Thank you for opening this thread Adam.

I have checked your templates and as you have mentioned, it was deleted afterwards. Unfortunately looking into it it seems as if the template was unshared from within the account, not that it was deleted.

Since you say that you are not deleting it, I presume that there might be some issue causing the same since the shared form: http://www.jotformeu.com/form/52775438269368 seems OK - not something our system would disable.

As such I will raise this to our developer to see if they might be able to see more details in regards to the same.

Do feel free to share it again as a template, but for now I would suggest making a bit.ly link to your form templates instead of a single template. That would allow you to re-add the templates without changing the bit.ly link.

Per your comments on Twitter, the first links were:

    1. http://bit.ly/AG2847

    2. http://bit.ly/AGA2847

I would only like to ask if you have gone into the Template panel of the form to update it once you have made the changes on the same?

You can see more about what I mean here: Sharing a Form in the Form Templates Gallery

Thanks Ben - I think I will need to share my present form as you suggest. Looking at the info you provided, that is just how I shared the template, it was there for a number of hours, then gone the next day. Most odd. Grateful for any further info your colleagues in development are able to provide.

Thank you for the update Adam. Yes, it shows how to share the template and how to update it later on if some chances are done to the form.

It also shows the button that would make the form removed from the templates.

What I would suggest is to share the form directly as well and then if you make any edits to save the same changes (by updating the same template).

This would remove the possibility of system removing the same (even though it should not happen).

We will update you here as soon as there are any updates in regards to the same.

When the forms shared as templates are too repetitive and too common, there is a team that review them and decide if this is worthy to have it or not.

Nevertheless, some users share their forms in the Gallery thinking this is a way to publish the forms for their own use and purposes and this is not the purpose at all.  Templates Gallery is a user contributed gallery we keep and maintain. Templates are to be shared with Jotform community so they can choose from ready to use template and then simply customize it.

If that is your purpose, you should embed the forms in your website or share the direct link with your users, instead.
