How do I insert a download link in my email to a page saved as a PDF?

I am offering a free gift in the form of a downloadable PDF.

When people click on my Call to Action button they will be asked to fill in their name and email to get the link that way.

I want to set up a canned response template for the email that will enable them to download this page.

The page will not be on my website as I want it to be a surprise. it is stored on my computer file.

Although I suppose another way to do it is to load it on a website page but post that page as private and not public.

So whichever you suggest makes more sense in terms of ease of application.

This page will not be to read. It is a graphic and they will need to print it once they download it.

    Thank you.

If your users will be downloading your PDF file, that file will have to be uploaded to somewhere on the internet where it will be accessible by your users. You can post it to your website on a "private" page, where only people with a direct link to that page will be able to download the book.

On regards to how to create your desired form, please take a look at the following guide:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/2-How-to-Create-Your-First-Web-Form

    1. You will want to add only the Full Name and Email fields to your form.

    2. When your form has an Email field, you can set up an autoresponder email to contain your customized message / instructions for your users how they can download your PDF (your gift):

    https://www.jotform.com/help/26-Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder

You can simply include (copy/paste) your download link into that autoresponder, while setting it up.

If you run into any snags or issues while setting up your form, please let us know and we will be happy to help.

    Thank you so much.
From what you say, I can set up the process to be quite automatic from start to finish.
I set up the form in the CTA content.
When they fill out the form with their email address, if I have set up autoresponder with the link, they will automatically get a return email and can download.
Can that email ( webmail) be set up through my Wordpress.org host, BlueHost?
Is that where I would check to count the downloads and collect and file the email addresses?

If I understand correctly, you want the autoresponder email to be sent using your own email address? If yes, then you can do so by following this guide: How to Setup SMTP for a Form.

You can check the submission data and count how many people submitted the form by logging in to your jotform account and going to the submissions page. Here's how: How to view Submissions

I am an artist trying to sell one small book online.
I want to build an email list of interested people by offering a free monthly gift card via automated email.
At this point in time I have no idea whether one, or ten or one hundred people will respond.

If you want to collect email addresses and add them to a newsletter where you will send them free monthly gift card or something similar. Then perhaps you can use the app integrations we have here on this page: https://apps.jotform.com/category/emailling.

Example is the MailChimp integration, it allows you to collect the email when the form is submitted them automatically add it in your subscribers list.

    I hope that helps.
