    PayPal Information not showing - RESOLVED

    On my DogID Application forms when submissions come in there is no PayPal transaction information showing.

    I tried to create a new email response and used all the fields it created and still no PayPal transaction info was sent to me..

    There are a couple of forms that I need this information for;

    I just noticed that the forms that I do get the PayPal transaction info for are setup to sell a product.

    The others are not. The ones above are: Collect Donations/Custom Amount Payments 

    Could this be the issue and if so then do I need to change them to sell a product?

    If I do change it it indicates all existing data is lost.

    Hi Robert,

    I checked the submission data of your form http://www.jotformpro.com/form/53297495897984 and I can see the paypaly information details on them

     

    So you must be referring to the Notification Email result instead.

    It is possible that the current Notifier when customized was no longer updated to the current version of the form.  Field names must have not been properly added and become disconnected to the Notifier.

    Please try adding a new Notifier on the form and leave the email template message body at default. Do  not customize the email.

    The Paypal field should be added as is (field name is {totalPrice} )

    Check incoming new payment submission if it now includeds the paypal data on the email.

    Hi,

    Yes it is the notification Email I am talking about. As I said I created a new notifier and used all the fields and still no PayPal info shows.

    Can you please confirm if this was your form http://www.jotformpro.com/form/53297495897984 that have the issue.

    I checked again at this time, but I can only see customized Notifier on the form.

     

    Try using the CREATE NEW EMAIL button to add a new Notifier.

    Just saved the new Notifier as is. Then test/check payment submissions again.

    We will wait for your updated response.

    I see what you are indicating but I don't know where that is coming from. 

    AS I said ... I did create a new email and used all the fields and it still did not give the PayPal info.

    I have since deleted it

    Hello Robert,

    I did check your newly added Email alert "DogID 3" and it does have "Total Price" field added to the email template. You should receive the PayPal payment details in the submission emails.

    Please test your form again and get back to us if you still do not see the PayPal details in email.

    As I indicated previously I tried this before with no success and the same for this one.

    I did not get PayPal payment details in the submission email for the "DogID 3".

    Hi Robert,

    I re-check your settings and didn't found any improper settings to cause this issue, so I'm going to forward this issue to our developers. Since it is related with the Paypal, I assume we are getting a quick response from them and when we get an update, you will be informed from this thread through email.

    HI,

    Today I received the new email, DogID 3, with the PayPal details attached. I have revised it's appearance somewhat and changed the name. "DogID Application (EN) ".

    If the next one comes in correctly I will start using it and abdon the others.

    Not sure if someone at your end fixed a bug or not, in any case THANK YOU

    I will let you know when the next one arrives.

    Could this caused by using a custom sender email address and not the generic ones you provide?

    Hello Robert,

    It is very unlikely that the custom sender email will cause this issue. I do not think that the default or custom sender will have any impact on the email template but you may like to go ahead and test it once by changing the sender email to noreply@jotform.com

    We will get back to you as soon as we have any update on this from our backend team.

    Hi,

    I'm totally confused by this problem. I thought I had it solved as one arrived with the PayPal info attached, now none arrive with it again.  I created new notifiers and deleted the old ones and still no PayPal stuff. This is driving an old man crazy, if I wasn't already crazy enough.

    I'm going to try it one more time and not change a thing in descriptors or fields and wait for the results.

    The french version works just fine, thank the Gods.

    I cloned my form (61013950784960) and then embed the new script into a new webpage. I made the required modifications for the database verification, uploaded it to the website server and now I'm waiting for a submission. 

    We will now see if the problem persist. my fingers are crossed.

    Hi,

    After reviewing the script I realized the problem was of my own creation and not something JotForm should be concerned with. 

    I was trying to be a bit to creative and busted it.

    I apologize for asking JotForm to solve a problem that was not yours.
