Is it possible to edit the "Configurable list" widget, so that some fields are recognized as currency fields?

The idea is for when the users enter a number in a field on the configurable list, it automatically reformat's itself as a dollar value ie. 50000 = $50,000

Unfortunately, this is not possible to achieve with "Configurable list" widget.

This can be achieved with Masked Input widget.
