Inbox shows text in different colors? - RESOLVED

When I goto My Forms and pick 'Dog ID'  in box some of the fields text on the left are colored black and some in teal.

I know when I setup the email notifier I use only teal for the field descriptors and in some cases I shorten the text.

It appears that where I change or shorten the text the color is black and if I don't touch it it stays teal.

This is no big deal as I'm the only that views the 'inbox', I just curious at to why it's happening and if it's possible to have only one color. (I suppose if I set them as all black in my email-notifier that would work)

    Thank you,

I checked your form and initially I did not find what could be causing this issue, I removed all the email notifications and noticed that the text was included the same as the inbox, when I was checking the email notifier I found that some of the fields have HTML tags on it, and this fields between tags were the same that are showing in different color in the inbox, here is an image about it:

I'm not sure if this was intentionally, but this is certainly causing this, I replaced that names within HTML tags with names without these tags and it worked, the color was fixed.

I would suggest you to check the names, and ensure that they are only plain text, otherwise some of them will be shown with different color.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

Sorry i thought I had responded. I see what you are showing and understand but how did you get this view. I tried looking for this option in email setup and couldn't find it. I can use an html editor  when creating a response but it shows the code much differently then you show.

Can you tell me how you get this view please.

    thank you,

    Robert

In another thread I have about not getting the PayPal info attached to this form I created a new email notifier. Test Notifier DogID

When the notifier creates itself it automatically applies the Teal color to some descriptors. Why is this html code the default and how do I edit it? Do you use a text editor and not the html editor.

    thanks,

    Robert

The HTML tags are in the field itself. There's no way you can see these tags now as the form builder automatically show the result instead of the actual codes.

For example, for this form: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/53297495897984

The label of the Country field is bold when you check its properties:

Clicking the field label will automatically remove the styling and will restore the text to its default, without the codes. You have to to do this for every field.

Let us know if you need more help with this.
