Upload File Extensions - how to disable?

Hi.

We require a file to create to produce our product that does not have a standard file extension name. 

When we remove the file extension requirement, it works for a short amount of time and then it revert back to the standard list of extensions. Is there a way to permanently disable the need for a file extension for uploads?

You can not disable it. However, you can add additional fields or you can remove unnecessary files.
