Hello, I need my form to ONLY email from a drop down list and not from the email in the "Recipient Emails" section, so I have a "Supervisor" drop down name list and a corresponding "Change email recipient" conditions with each persons email with it and I only want it to email the drop down box selection.

    Thank you

If I understand correctly, you want to have a dropdown list in your form and set that dropdown as the recipient email for your "Supervisor in Box" notification? If yes, then you will need to create an Autoresponder and use that as the "Supervisor in Box" instead of the notification.

To do so, first add a dropdown field on your form and add the email addresses to the options.

Then you will need to add an Autoresponder to your form. Here's a guide that can help you set it up: Creating a Form Autoresponder

Once that is set, you are all set. The autoresponder email will only be sent to the email address selected in the dropdown field.

Here's a demo that you can see in action: https://form.jotform.com/61019010383948

Ah, I was using notification email instead of autoresponder, is there a way to display in the drop down box just the name of the person and hide the email associated to that name and still have it work?

Or would that be using conditions? like this.....

"if supervisor IS EQUAL TO Joe Schmo, SEND autoresponder EMAIL TO  jschmo@fakeemail.com"

    Thanks

Yes. It is possible to display the name in the dropdown list and still can use the emails to send the notification. Please follow the steps below:

    1. Assign the email addresses as the calculation values for the Supervisor field from the field properties as shown below:

    2. Add a textbox field to the form and add a condition to read the selected supervisor's email address to the textbox field.

    3. Now, you may setup the auto-responder to send the email using the newly added text box field.

Please see the cloned version of your JotForm the changes below and feel free to clone it to your account.

I had it working before but now it removes the calculation when I try to configure it from "copy a field's value" to "calculate a fields value"
can you please look at it and see what I might have done wrong?

    Thank you

I cloned your form and tested the condition and I can confirm that it switches to "Copy a field's value" instead of "Calculate a field's value". However, there is no need to worry as the condition still copies the calculation value from the dropdown field.

Even when using the "Cop a field's value" the condition still works as expected so there is no need to change anything.

I see that it is now filling in the "Supervisors Email" section but when I tested it to myself It only sent one time, I changed Diane and Kieth to my email address for testing and selected J-diane and submitted it and I got it in my email correctly then I went to the "Edit Submission" and added "money bags" under "supervisors signatures" and chose J-keith and submitted it but never got an email and it never showed up on my total submissions used.

Unless im doing something wrong, it seems like it all should work, we need people to be able to submit a form to one person then that person can go back and edit it by adding a signature and send it to the next person and so on.

    Thank you
