I would like to submit my form to a different URL, other than the Jotform, submission Url.

if i understand you correctly, JotForms can indeed be submitted to different URL.
example, if i created a survey form, you can submit it to a URL where in your users can access the form.
The forms will always be located at JotForm.com though... the method POST or GET will simply call the form actions from JotForm.com

No, your form will never work when you pointed submit.php it to your own URL. Please point it to http://submit.jotform.co/submit/1234567890/ where 1234567890 is your form ID.
This submit.php is save onto your form's database, what ever changes on this link may affect your form submissions functionality.
