How can I get the GPS Locator widget to show the Google Map without the need to have location tracking turned on within a browser?

We are using the form to have customers type in their address and/or show us their location in the GPS Locator widget. However, many of our users are confused by needing to have location tracking turned on within their browser in order to view the map or address field. Is there a way to fix this or is their another option that will allow customers to use a map to show us the location of their project?

Unfortunately no, that would not be possible. The reason is that the code will ask this from the browser and browser will not return the same until the user authorizes it. This is in order to protect the people using the browser.

So what I would suggest is to actually leave a note in the form itself - above or around the field. That will allow people coming to form to see that they should enable it and do so.

Otherwise the only option where you would not need to ask for the same is to have your users use older browsers which do not require the check to be made if it is allowed or not (which in general is not an option).
