Does the Stripe payment tool capture the credit card information to authorize the payment?

Hi, I have a bed and breakfast and use stripe to accept credit cards. I take the number over the phone currently and enter it directly on the stripe website. I already use Jotform for my reservation request and am thinking about using their stripe widget to allow guests to pay directly online. My only requirement is that I capture their credit card information because the guest agreement they sign allows me to charge their card for damages after they leave if I have to; or for additional things they purchase. Do you know if the stripe widget does this or do I need to contact them. Thx.

I understand that you want to allow the users to provide the credit card information to your Stripe form so that you can charge them later. It is possible to get the credit card authorized by Stripe payment field on your JotForm by enabling Later (manually) option to Charge Customer field.

This allows the user to enter the credit card information on the form by themselves so that you need not to collect them manually. If there is any charge to be applied, you may apply the charge from the Stripe dashboard. Please be noted that the credit card information will not be stored with JotForm or Stripe. But the payment gateway encrypts the credit card number and the last 4 digits can be read from Stripe.

Also, such submission is counted as a payment submission. Since your account is holding Free subscription you are allowed to receive only 10 payment submissions in a month and you may be required to upgrade your account to a paid subscription if you are expecting more submissions in a month.

    Hope this information helps!
