Multiple file upload field getting HTTP status code 502 error when uploading large files.Asked by 1916Forms on April 15, 2016 at 09:49 AM
We need to be able to receive video files, there has been a lot of complains from our users saying that they are getting an upload error. I've tried to upload a 400MB video file and it fails.
My file size limit is set to a 1GB.
Any idea of why the tool is not working?
I'm checking your website where the form is and there seems to be a couple of errors in your website that might be causing a script conflict.
Could you please try using an iFrame embed code when you put your form to your website? That should avoid any code conflict to happen between your website and of the form's resources. Here's a guide on how to get your iFrame embed code: https://www.jotform.com/help/148-Getting-the-Form-iFrame-Code
Another possible reason is that the internet connection might be unstable or breaking at some point during the upload process. This can happen when the upload process is taking time to finish and the connection between the user and the server times out. But please do try first the suggestion solution above. Please also note that one file upload field can only handle a total of 1 GB total file size, and one submission can only also hold 1 GB total file uploads.

I've tried the suggested solution but I'm getting an XHR Request error from your server after the file is 100% upload, any suggestions?

I tried it on a 50 MB file and it seems to work fine. Here's a screencast:
You should be able to see that submission in your account, please do delete it so that it won't cover much of your upload space. I'll try to upload a 150 MB file and continue my test. But I'll forward this issue to our back-end team to have it checked.

We are expecting video files to be uploaded so the sizes are 150 + MB,
I'm testing it with a 429.5 MB video file and I'm getting the following error:
Thank you for the update. Unfortunately, I do not have a large file to test appropriately. I was able to upload a 60 MB file with no problems.
My colleague was already open a ticket regarding this. As soon as we have any update, we will let you know.
I would also like to inform you, that you can reach the storage limit very quickly uploading large files.
Sorry for the very late update, but we have released a fix today that addresses this issue. Can you please confirm if the problem is resolved on your end?
