How to use custom domain with my forms?Asked by fletchbdma on April 18, 2016 at 04:01 AM
I'm afraid I am unable to understand your question. Can you please provide further information about your concern so we can better assist you?
I will wait for your response.
Sorry, my computer died... I need to connect my Jotform to a domain, I have the CNAME for the dns but also require an IP number to point to in my DNS control. Please don't point me to the same lame answer https://www.jotform.com/help/144-How-to-use-Custom-Domains-with-Jotform
This does not work as you need a IP number to resolve to not a name, see below.. I get an error pointing the CNAME record to the JOTFORM i have created.
CrazyDomains have confirmed the following: Note that CNAME records must point only at a domain name, not at an IP address.
Unfortunately, it seems that the screenshot attached is not uploaded correctly and not displaying on the thread. Could you attach the screenshot once again from the link below:
I'm not sure if we can link the IP address since we have multiple servers. If it is resolving directly to the IP address, it could be a problem when we switch the servers and results in your forms displaying 404 errors.
Please let us know if the domain is now linked to any of your hosting account. If your hosting account offers cPanel, you may add the CNAME from the Simple DNS Zone editor.
