Accepting any information using regular fields are safe since JotForm uses SSL (secure form) by default. We also have Form Encryption feature.

However, we do NOT allow asking sensitive information like username and password, credit card fields and etc. using regular fields. It is prohibited here and this violates our terms of use. Doing so will result to account suspension - we have phishing tool that scans forms like this and auto-suspend them. Please avoid creating forms like this to avoid account suspension or permanent termination.

If you want to charge users credit card manually on a later date, we suggest using any of the payment fields we have in the form builder. Then enable Payment Authorization. This guide explains the Payment Authorization feature and how to enable them https://www.jotform.com/help/292-How-to-Enable-Payment-Authorization.
