    Limiting Form Selections

Asked by m4cl4rk on March 06, 2012 at 02:51 PM

Hi. Here's what I want to do:

Have a matrix of 8 items (8 rows) with a single selection "yes this one" (one column), basically a single radio button for each row.

When any 4 of the 8 are marked with that selection, then the remaining items are un-selctable.

Can I do this with the matrix? If so, how? If not, is there a way I can do this with conditions, using standard form fields?

    Hi Matthew.

I'm not sure how I'd use the grading field to limit the number of available selections. Can you help me understand how I'd do that?

"Grading Tool"  sums up the fields in a vertical listing of as many fields as you like to get results.I request to check on formbuilder and try to work around it as see if it can be what you need.

Actually  for your case, the payment form is the most appropriate as you can easily specify the fields for calculation i.e 4 fields instead of 8.

Our development team are working on this feature and request you to keep watching on this link for any new updates.

Thanks. I'm not interested in calculating, really.

But if the DJ is taking requests, other folks might really dig a feature like having the number of active/visible/selectable fields change based upon a simple count of selections:

"I can see 8 form fields. Once I mark 4 of them - any 4 in any order - the remaining fields either go away or are unselectable."

Thank you very much for your prompt and thorough reply.
