How can I require payment of a PayPal fee if someone buys a product?

Asked by dcaldwel on March 06, 2012 at 03:43 PM

Is it possible to set up a PayPal payment form so that if a person selects a particular product listed on the form, then the person must also select a particular credit card fee also listed on the form?

    Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, JotForm does not have an explicit option that would allow a fee to be added to your total price if a product is selected. You would need to embed the form using its source codes and integrate special JavaScript codes to it to make it work the way you intended.

I suggest that you add the fee as a separate product in your form. When you're finished, let us know so we can work on a custom JavaScript solution.

I solved the problem by instructing PayPal to add a shipping charge to cover the credit card fee.
