Form calculation is not calculating the values properlyAsked by hmcdowell on April 25, 2016 at 05:59 AM
Hello, I am trying to add Calculation field and its not working out like it should. When I click on the check box of the item that I would like to calculate, it does not input the correct amount. For example if the amount is listed as $30, in the calculation field is says my total is 300000000000.00. Not sure how to current this. This is a re-post of a comment on How to Perform Form Calculation Using a Widget
I took a look at your form and I see what happens on the same: https://form.jotform.me/53191348159460
Basically your total is set to multiple all fields (not to sum them up). Next to this you have set the field labels, but not their calculation values.
Do to the same the widget is trying to get the values from the field (which is always null) and multiple them all, but since it is not set, it is not a zero, so it will add 0 at the end.
So if you click on the last item, it shows correct value, but if you click on the item above it, it will not, it will be multiplied by 10 (by simply adding 0 at the end). More fields there are after it more zeros it gets.
What I would suggest is to check out the following guides:
