Aligning document and also adding extra field boxes within a tex box

Hi As you can see I have two text boxes near the base of this form, both with click to edit, for some reason the top one will not move to the left so I am unbale to put them side by side.  have tried deleting it and replacing again but it just wants to stay in the middle. I cannot see any way within the program how to move this to the left.

Also, I have tried looking at other threads etc, but I can see no way how to create seperate field boxes in a text bos.

For example if you look at your standard drag and drop quick fields such as either name this has two field boxes for first name and second name, the telephone number agin gas 2 field boxes and finally the address has several field boxes including a drop down for country.

How do I do something similar and add extra field boxes including a drop down in one area?

The best I have found is shrink to fit but that is not the same and only puts two text boxes side by side.

    Hello langhamifa,

You can click on the properties of the upper text box and select Move to a new line, this should put the text box side by side with the one below.

Using the Move to a new line also is a solution if in case you see the field hanging like the screenshot above.

If you wish to move the field and switch their positions, one trick is to expand the 1st field and drag the 2nd field below, shrink the fields and position them and use again the Move to a new line or Merge to above line, depending on the circumstance.

If you need assistance, or if you have more questions, please do let us know.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for that worked fine.

Can you advise on second part I cannot do which is to create text boxes similar to the address box or name box where you have multiple field boxes and also as in the address box a field box with a drop down. I have tried to find this on here but for  the life of me cannot.

    Thank you

    Hello,

I'm not sure I fully understand your 2nd concern. If what you mean is looking for the options such as the address bar to show or hide other fields, what you can do is simply select the address field on your form.

Example: Address field - When you select the field on your form builder, you will notice that the tool bar above the form builder will change. This changes depending n the field you selected and which options are available in the field. For this instance, you can choose which fields to hide or show.

There are also more fields available which you can use by selecting More Fields > Browse Widgets

If you can provide more information such as how you wish to use a certain field on your form, perhaps we can lead you to a specific field to use.

    Looking forward to your response.

ok, lets say I want to create a text box, if I insert it its only got one box to enter data. However, if I want to add more boxes into this text box I am unable to do. I have looked at the widgets and I cannot find anything.

This must be simple to do given that you provide pre-installed quick fields like the address which has 5 boxes in it or name which has 2. So somebody has created these.

Please note that the address field has many text boxes because it holds one type of input value which is an address. We do not have one text box that can have multiple ones, you can however insert multiple text boxes in your form and simply format or position them nicely. Here's a guide on how to position your fields: https://www.jotform.com/help/328-How-to-Position-Fields-in-JotForm

We do have a widget that has multiple text boxes, you can check it here: https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/multiple_text_fields. To add a widget in your form, simply follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/252-How-to-Add-a-Widget-to-your-Form

    I hope that helps.
