How to get the list of submissions with payments in a specific period?

We need to locate the list of students that paid fall of 2015 - spring 2016.

I'm not sure if I understand your query correctly. Do you mean to see the submissions of any form? If so, you can select a form from My Forms page and click on Submissions to view the submissions received. Please refer to the guide below that can help you with viewing submissions of your JotForms.

You can also limit the submissions to a date range from the view settings.

So we have several students report they paid $10 Annual Dues but the last payment that I can see was in 2014? Do you have record of payment for Annual Dues for 2015 and 2016?

If you go to https://jotform.com/myforms/ and click on that form you can go to submissions section and check all submissions and payments:
