    Hi there!

In this form I have a dropdown menu where the customer selects the number of students.

I want to apply a condition that if the number is 1, it will show 1 name field, if it is 2 it will show two name fields and so on. I don't understand why I don't have an option to do this in conditions. Can someone help me with this?

    Cheers,
    Chris

It appears that the dropdown field you are trying to add a condition to is connected to the Purchase Order Tool, which is why it is not possible to check the value of the dropdown in the condition. The only value that you can use with conditions for the purchase order tool is the product, not the value from the dropdown.

A possible workaround would be to use a regular dropdown field instead.

By using a regular dropdown field, you will be able to use a Show/Hide condition for that field.

Hi Christian, thank you for your reply. This means if I use a regular dropdown menu I would loose the ability to calculate the total price, which would be important to the customer to know. Is this right? :-/

You are correct that using the regular dropdown field alone, you would lose the ability to calculate the total. However, we can still add a Form Calculation widget that we can connect with the dropdown field so you will be able to calculate the price. Simply add the said dropdown field and follow the steps below:

    1. First, we add the form calculation field.

    2. Then you can insert the formula in the calculation field to calculate the total price. You can check out this guide for more info: How to perform calculation in the form

    3. Now that we have calculated the total price, we can now pass the value from the calculation field to the payment field. Before doing so, make sure that you have Custom Amounts Payment selected. Then follow this guide to pass the calculated total to the payment field: How to pass a calculation to a payment field
