How to prepopulate drop-down fields?

Hello Support.  I am aware that you have the Google Docs integration for the posting data, I guess we can call it from JotForm to Google.  How about the other way around?

Let me pose my problem and then you may tell me that I don't need Google docs and I can achieve the same solution in a different manner.

So on our form we would like to populate some of the drop down menus with data that is going to be dynamically.  So for example, the user can choose a telephone number out of 100 telephone numbers available at the time.  We want to build intothe form the logic that once the client chose a phone number and they submitted the request to secure that number, the number will be removed from the available list.

Do you have any suggestion or a plugin that can assist me with this solution?

    Thank you,

    Ofer

Are you planning to store that dynamic data on some external source or it will be within the form. Since if it is within the form maybe you could check this widget: http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/dynamic_dropdowns

You can define how the dropdowns will populate based on the selection of the parent drop-down.

If it is the external source I'm afraid it is hardly doable with JotForm.

Please let me know if that information helps.

    Thank you!

That is an awesome plugin, the question is now can I dynamically add and subtract the sub values if they have been selected in the past? Or will I have to go into the form each time and manually remove the values?
    Thank you,

I have checked the widget and it is not possible to disable an option when this is selected, there are only some widgets with this feature, but they do not work the same as this Dynamic Dropdowns widget does.

Take a look to the widgets that disable one option if this has been previously selected:

    Gift_registry

    Quantity_gift_registry

    Inventory

But I could not find a widget similar to the one shared by my colleague and with the ability to disable the option once this is selected.

The only way that I can see to achieve it, could be storing the submitted data in your own database, then once the form is loaded verify that this option has not been selected before and if it has been then disable the option, to do this you will need to get the source code of your form, the guide below will help you with that:

    How-to-get-the-Full-Source-Code-of-your-Form

Also, if you want we can escalate this to our second level as a feature request, the details would be, have the same functionality as on the Dynamic Dropdowns widget, but additionally to this have the ability to disable the previously selected options, do confirm us about our understanding in your requirement and we will be glad to escalate this thread.
