view submissions, I was denied access. I assume that is because I did not send the form from my shared account in the jot form account, correct?

This is because you have permission to edit the form only, but you do not have permission to view the submitted data on the shared forms, you will need to request this access to the form's owner and he/she will decide either if he/she will allow you to view submissions or not, you may also send the link to the guide below with more info about sub-user accounts and how to give access:
