    orthopod,

Session cookie do expire, that is when the browser is closed.
It is good only for the duration of the session when browsing.

    Hope this  answer your question.

    orthopod,

Perhaps I should give you more detail.
If your plan is to continue a 'session' in 2-3 weeks time, there is another type of session cookie that can be use. There is also those persistent session cookie. This type get saved in the user(client) computer the 1st time it access the host(server). This means, that the client browser can connect again to the host at later time and continue the session as long as the cookie is still in the client computer.
But the drawback here is, the cookie can also be cleared/deleted. If this happen, the session will be lost.

    orthopod,

Jotform forms cookie are enabled by Default.
You can check this by going to the Form Preferences / Advance Settings /Unique Submissions

The value should be "No Check" to allow cookie during submission in the form.
And this is a "persistent" cookie, not a "session" only cookie.

The only issue you will have is if the user's browser have a disabled cookie in the browser by default, or if the browser is configured to clear browser evertime the session is closed by default.

I hope this help. Please post back if you still need further assistance.
