I have a client wondering if she gets a copy of the contract after it is filled out. so my question is. is a copy then emailed to them as well?

No, you need to setup an Autoresponder email so that once they submitted a form, they'll receive an autoreply email. Please refer to this guide on how to set up an Autoresponder email: Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder
Please take note that you can edit the content of the email by using the email editor.
