REPORTS - Trying to make a report using Address field - CASE CLOSED

I'm trying to use information in the "Address" field of my Membership Form 52934584917973 but when I try and create a 'Pie' chart it dose not show the "Address" field as an option. I want to create pie chart showing applicants by provinces but I can't do it without the "Address" info.

Why is it not giving me that option?

    Regards,

    Robert

Thank you for your question, Robert.

The address field from the quick fields are not considered to be comparable for pie charts. If you wish to have such appear on the list to be selected, you will need to use a drop down menu field, or create a series of individual fields which should constitute as your address field.

If you have questions, please do let us know.

    Thanks.

Ah NUTS! ... Just what I thought...

Unfortunately the way you are setup if I change a field all previous data is lost so I have to create a new form and combine date and create a pie chart outside your application.

Not Good planning on my part. I've been asked to create a report on memberships by province.

I will have to go to our membership manager and get data from her to create the report.

    Thanks for the reply,

    Robert

    Hello Robert,

But, just in case you need a chart but not necessarily in the JotForm reports tool, you can download the Excel file of the submissions. The fields there are separated by columns, so you can explicitly compare the province there using a charting tool such as pivot tables/charts of excel.

Another alternative is to create a new form with the separated fields for address, and then you can import the data using import to jotform app (http://import.jotform.io/), or spreadsheet to JotForm app (http://www.jotform.com/spread2jot). You can also explore apps available on http://apps.jotform.com/ and see if you can find more apps there that may suit your needs.

If you have questions, please do let us know.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for the options. I will find a way.

    Regards,

    Robert

    PS

I tried this link for spread2jot  with 3 different spread sheet forms and it failed with each. It would not let me get the right headings, if I highlight some then select another it would un-select the first ones, very annoying. The forms it created were uscless. For example formID=61378112042951. And shows 31 unread and it hasn't been posted? I looked at two and they are blank. What gives?

    Hello Robert,

    Thank you for your response.

Regarding the concerns about spread2jot, I have moved it to another thread. We'll get back to you on that thread.

    Thanks.
