InfusionSoft Integration: Where can I get the "integration" and "call name" info that was provided upon integration in the old wizard?

Asked by fivestardestin on May 16, 2016 at 05:10 PM

If I remember correctly, before all the preference UI's were changed, the old interface gave you an integration name (i.e. jotform) and a call name (i.e. form1117) once integration is completed. This is absolutely necessary for Infusionsoft to pull in the form info in a campaign to segment form responses. Yet the integration confirmation seems to have been replaced by the smiling picachu thing with no API info. Can someone direct me to where I can now find this?

As an additional note: reverting to www.jotform.com/?old does not give you the old integration interface either.

As far as I know, the integration UI was not part of the Preferences UI which had been upgraded. So the old UI  https://www.jotform.com/?old  shortcut will not change the integration UI since it had been like that since.

I think what you meant was this screenshot...

You need to setup first your API key. Check this guide from Infusionsoft

Hope this help. Let us if there are still issue.

My Infusionsoft API key is not the issue. I can find that rather easily. What I need is the JOTFORM API specific to the form I am integrating, so it can trigger a response in an Infusionsoft campaign. See the attached screenshot of another campaign in which an API call FROM jotform is used an example of the information I am looking for. This used to be provided once integration was configured...now it's not. Now all I get is a kind thank you. The integration UI has indeed been changed.

I'm not sure I understood you, but all API keys that are used by your account are here:

More about JotForm API you can find here.

Please let us know if you had something else in mind or if you have further questions.

    Thank you!

Where did the information come from in my screen shot? I didn't just make that information up. This info was provided WITH the integration confirmation before the UI change. Now it is not.

And as another observation...the form used in my screenshot example now says it's integrated with WebHooks, not Infusionsoft. How/why did that happen? I never did that!!!

I am NOT looking for my InfusionSoft App's API key...I have that information, and obviously JotForm does too. I need the SPECIFIC FORM'S API KEY INFORMATION so that the form can talk to Infusionsoft.

This is getting frustrating all around. I like the new UI's look, but its functionality in many instances has been condensed, and things in older forms have gone screwy...both in preferences and in integration.

I'm really sorry that this is getting frustrating.

That screenshot is from Create Campaign screen on Infusionsoft build tool:

So that is not on JotForm's build tool.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how Webhooks integrated with your form since it's completely separate integration. Could you please provide us with a form where you have this issues so we can check further?

When you're integrating with JotForm, then JotForm will have to have that API key information in order to communicate since it is a third party software and not the native integration.

Please give us more information about the form you're using and we'll be glad to find a solution for you.

    We'll wait for your response.

    Thank you!

My apologies, I forgot to mention, if you're trying to build something in Infusionsoft and use JotForm in it, unfortunately, that is not possible. If that is what you're looking for. You can only forward your submissions data to Infusionsoft.

I am aware that my screen shot is from Infusionsoft. I have used both JotForm and Infusionsoft, separately and together, everyday, all day for the past 3 years, enough to know the difference in environments. I don't need schooling in Infusionsoft.

On YOUR screenshot...which is easily recognized as a campaign in Infusionsoft. You have 2 fields in the "Configure API" Box. You have one filled out, and one blank.

Now refer back to my screenshot and those same fields. See how the Integration is called 'jotform' and the Call Name is 'form1117'? Where do you think that information came from? NOT Infusionsoft. JOTFORM.

Where is it now? It used to display upon integration, now you just get the attached screen with no API info to plug into the infusionsoft fields, which does me no good for triggering campaign actions. The info in those fields used to show up here. I have set up many, MANY of these campaigns in the past, integrating JotForm with InfusionSoft, and know exactly where I've gotten this information before. Why can't someone there tell me what happened and why you can't get it now??

This is the form now integrated with WebHooks, for some reason, which we have NEVER used, so there would be no way for us to integrate with it's API...even by mistake.

    https://form.jotform.com/61365440515956

It was originally integrated with Infusionsoft, and is currently in a running campaign. In fact, I'm afraid some contacts may have dropped off because of this.

I'm not sure if that info was given when the integration was finished, I have tried using the old UI and I do not get the info you're saying; however, I will ask if there was a change and if that info was provided before to apply the new UI, if this is the case and this info is missing on the new UI then we will report it to our back-end team.

Regarding to your second report about your form integrated with a 3rd party service you did not selected, I have moved this to a new thread, you will find it on this link: https://www.jotform.com/answers/841357

We will reply to you on that thread as soon as possible.

Well, I AM sure it was given upon integration. I certainly didn't make up or imagine the "Integration" or "Call Name" info that's in those fields. It HAD to come from you guys, in order to set up the API call in InfusionSoft.

Hi. As mentioned by my colleague before, the same did not exist in our integration. Looking at the screenshot above however it seems that you are looking for goal name ("Call name"). If that is true, this is something you should set up yourself as long as it matches the end goal name, all will be good and properly set up.

A simple and quick search on their forum shows this:

    http://community.infusionsoft.com/showthread.php/20194-API-Call-Name-used-to-trigger-campaign-for-new-contact-added-to-IS-via-website-API

As such I do suggest contacting InflusionSoft support if you are not clear about any part of their integration system.I would also like to ask you to not 'yell' (capital letters) on our forum. It is not needed nor productive while we do our best and are happy to assist without the same.Thank you.

Ben, the caps are more for visual reference to emphasize points that are repeatedly being ignored over and over again, more so than yelling. You can't hear text.

I'm not trying to cause problems, but I am very frustrated because the forms we've created in JotForm have been crucial to the way our marketing and guest interactions are automated. If I can't rely on JotForm's ease of integration with InfusionSoft the way I have in the past, then I simply cannot move forward creating future forms with JotForm. I don't want that...I personally like working in JotForm. My marketing director is telling me to pull the plug on you guys and use another service to speed things up, and I'm trying desperately to give her a good reason why we should stick with you. This is not helping my case.

Answer me this Ben: Let's say I did 'create' this information in the InfusionSoft goal...just pulled it right out of the clear blue sky...how would JotForm even know to talk to infusionsoft with this made up information?

It had to be provided by you guys. And Infusionsoft confirms:

So why is it not provided now upon integration? And even more...why is it being denied it ever was?

Any progress on this? I haven't heard anything, nor have I seen any fix to the integration procedure.

To recap, JotForm indeed provided the API Call Name in the past, upon integration, before the UI change (I.E. 'form1117' in the screen shot earlier in the thread). Now it doesn't

This Call Name was then entered into the API call campaign goal in InfusionSoft...this is how each form communicated with I/S, and allowed campaign goals to be reached based on each individual field, not just a generalized tag for submitting the form. That's why InfusionSoft allows an API Call to be a campaign goal, but it needs the Call Name from the 3rd party app (JotForm) in order to receive information from that form.

Earlier in the thread, in the screenshot you provided of the old UI, you only show step 1. That part is not the issue....I am fully aware of how to set up the API key from InfusionSoft. The info I am looking for was provided after the 3 step integration process, upon integration completion, in the same window (I believe the background was green instead of pink).

I cannot even get to the old Integration UI shown because www.jotform.com/?old still gives you the new integration UI. A working link to that could provide what I need for now. Anything that can allow me to integrate forms the way I used to.

I did not make this API call name up in the past, and it did not come from InfusionSoft (as proven in the screen-shot conversation with I/S support). It had to come from JotForm, but now you only get an "Integration Up & Running" message with no API Call Name upon integration.

I will need a Call Name from JotForm for every form I integrate, just like it provided in the past, otherwise I can't proceed building new forms in JotForm.

We have already raised this to our developers and it is assigned to them.

As soon as we have any details, we will update you about the same here.

I will however ask our developer assigned to this to see if he has any details in regards to the same.

Thank you...the only question I have now is, what is JotForm's integration name? Is it still 'jotform', or would it be my Infusionsoft app name? Previously JotForm would give me the integration name as 'jotform'

Reason I ask is because I'm testing a jotform API call to Infusionsoft, but it's still not coming in to infusionsoft.

In infusionsoft I have "integration" as 'jotform', and created the API call name and matched it in both the new jotform integration wizard and Infusionsoft, then published the campaign. I put myself in the campaign and filled out the form, but still no luck.

    Any suggestions?
