Custom sender email: Enable TLS encryption

I don't expect to be requesting sensitive information through my forms, however I would like the email server to send emails with TLS encryption.

In my Gmail client, it doesn't look very safe when there is a red unlocked padlock.

I am using a custom sender email (e.g. noreply@domain.com) and have used the "Verified" setting in the advanced section of the form settings. I verified the email address using the verification code sent.

How can I have emails sent with TLS?

All JotForm forms and submissions are secured by default. In this thread you can find more about SSL submissions.

For email notifications, they are securely sent by our email servers. On the other hand, if you wish to send from your own email address or perhaps using your own SMTP servers, you can do that by following this guide:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/244-How-to-Setup-SMTP-for-a-Form

    http://www.jotform.com/help/238-How-to-Add-a-Custom-Sender-Address-to-an-Email-Alert

Be mindful, though, that if you enable 'Attach PDF' option or use Custom sender, the messages will be sent without TLS encryption in the transfer. Our backend team is working already on that feature to be added.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you!
