    can i make a field required based on whether another field is populated?

    You can use conditional logic feature to hide or display a field based on previous field entry in the form. For further information you can visit the following article from our user guide:

    yes, i am using this already to make a row of fields visible to a user if the row above contains fields.  However, what I am trying to achieve is for 3 of the fields in that row become required IF field 1 has a value.  I want the whole row to be visible to the user but just require that they fill all fields if they use that row.
