How do I clear the storage space for the photo submissions received?

    Hi,

    Ive just added a file upload button on my form.

    The customer will complete the form upload a photo & then send the form to me.

    Once i receive the email i can then see the photo at my end.

    My question is do i need to the log into jotform account and delete that email so the image doesnt take up any storage space ?

     

    There is no reason for me to keep the image in my jotform account.

    Once i have it on my pc then all is ok.

    Please advise

    The submission you've received in your notification email will be having a link to access the photo. In order to clear the storage space of your account, it is required to delete the associated submission. So, you are required to login into your account in order to delete the submission.

    Please be noted that it is not possible to recover a deleted submission in any way. So, please make sure that you have a backup of your submission along with the file uploaded before you delete the submission. You may consider integrating Google Drive/DropBox so that the submissions received will be automatically stored in the cloud so that you may retrieve them later.

    Hi,

    Once i have the form & photos in my email on my pc then i do not wish to waste storage in my account.

    Please advise steps on how i would then delete the email in my account.

    Please be noted that the email notification that you are receiving will be having a direct link to access the photo from the JotForm storage only. 

    You'll need to download the file manually to your PC. In order to clear the storage space or delete the photo, it is required to delete related submission from the form submissions.

    Once the submission is deleted, you'll not be able to access the photo using the link in the email. So, we recommend you to integrate Google Drive/DropBox to your account so that the submissions along with the photos attached will be stored in the cloud.

    You may then delete the submissions from the submissions view to clear the storage space.
