Please do note Sam that asking for Social Security Numbers on your forms is not generally allowed and is likely to cause your account to raise red flags and end suspended.
The same is however allowed for special types of businesses and as such we allow it as well (for those specific types of businesses).
These are the types of businesses that can accept the same:
• Insurance companies
• Credit card companies, lenders, and any other company receiving a credit application from you
• The three main credit reporting agencies: TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian
• Any company that sells products or services that require notification to the IRS, including:
- Investment advisors
- Banks
-Real estate purchases
-Financial transactions over $10,000, such as automobile purchases; and other financial transactionsEven though we allow the SSN details to be collected for these businesses it is important to note that you are still responsible for your data, and that SSN collected would be visible by anyone that has access to your account.
As such it would be best to use encryption on the same as well. You can read more about it here: What are Encrypted Forms and how to use them as expert?
To summarize: If your business matches the criteria above, do let us know about it here with some publicly available information about your business (so that you can reference this thread in case of any issues) and if not, it is good to note that your account is likely to be suspended by our system if you are collecting the same details.
Hope this helps Sam.
In regards to your other question, I have moved it to a new thread here: https://www.jotform.com/answers/846033 since we can only assist with one question/issue per thread.
