    Language flag is not visible on iPhone.

    Asked by awcthailand on May 28, 2016 at 06:53 AM

    Thanks for the suggestion but still no language flag option visible on iPhone. What's interesting is now it works on iPad. Must be the form width difference?

    This is a re-post of a comment on Getting the form iFrame code

    I checked the form 61350357429456 and the flag was being displayed:

    Please let us know the form url or, if the form is published on a website, please let us know the website url so we can perform further tests.

    We'll wait for more details to continue.

    You posted your original question 3 days ago on this thread https://www.jotform.com/answers/846581, where I suggested you to re embed your form with iFrame code.

    I made another test on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and language field is shown. However I noticed that embedded form is not responsive. As you can see your form also dose not take full width of device. Your website is also not responsive.

    Your standalone form is responsive, as you can see on screenshot provided by my colleague.

    I think that your embedded form is not responsive because of some elements in which form is added. That element probably has a fix width and because of that element form is not resizing. On webpage where your form is embedded you have only one image and your form, however there is lot of  other div elements that can cause this issue and I am also not sure what is the purpose of those div elements. I would suggest you to inspect other elements on your webpage.

    You can also try to embed only your form and image on your webpage with out all other div elements. You can also add your image directly on your form and embed only your form to your webpage.

    Hope this will help. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    You gave such helpful advice, BJoanna. Thank you. I implemented what I could

    I have since learned that the theme I use at Wild Apricot (where our website is hosted) is not mobile compatible. So it seems that there is not a real fix for this problem unless I change the entire website theme. That is long overdue but not the right time.

    We will see what happens with iPhone users in Thailand who access the form. Hopefully, the language flag will show on most devices.

    I hope my colleague's suggestion will fix your issue. We would appreciate it if you could try it on your side and let us know the result. We will wait for your response.

    I did use the iframe, and now the language flag is visible, although cut off. I think that is because my website theme does limit the form width.

    Is there a way to have the language flag appear under the banner image? instead of at the top of the screen?

    Please inject the custom css below to have the language flag appear under the banner image. I have also added code to center the flag under the banner.

    .cont {

        top: 230px;

    }

    .language-dd  {

        left: -280px;

    }

    If you need further assistance, please let us know.

    And I would never have figured out that CSS :-)

    Uh oh. It is beautiful on my laptop but on the iPhone it's sitting on the bottom of the banner image.

    Yikes. What to do? Most of my users will be on their mobile device...

    Please add this code to modify the position of the flag on mobile.

    @media only screen and (min-device-width: 500px)

    .cont {

        top: 240px;

    }

    }

    If the issue persists, please let us know.

    But I want the language flag to be below the image... So much more noticeable.

    Sorry to be a pain...

    No need to apologize. We are here to help. :) Could you try removing the previous code and replace it with the one below?

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 500px)

    .cont {

        top: 250px;

    }

    }

    Appreciate the help! Still seeing the flag above the image both on laptop and iPhone. I do like that it is centered, but I would really be happy to have it appear correctly just under the image.

    Here's the CSS code in the form as of now:

    .language-dd  {
        left: -300px;
    }

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 500px)
    .cont {
        top: 250px;
    }
    }

    You are most welcome. Can you please remove all the css that we injected earlier and replace it with this one? This code should place the flag under the image correctly.

    .language-dd  {

        left: -300px;

    }

    .cont {

        top: 230px;

    }

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 500px){

    .cont {

        top: 250px;

    }

    }
