    MailChimp Integration: Since we've likely already sent things to our existing list.

    Since we've likely already sent things to our existing list... can we set the integration to start from here forward?

    Yes, simply uncheck that on the last page of the integration.

    This is not clear to me. Do you mean that if I want the future additions to my list sent, I need to uncheck the box? I think you need to reconsider the wording on the check box if so.

    Whether you check or uncheck the box future submissions will be added to your list, right after finishing the integration all submissions moving forward will be added to the list. Checking the box is an option which means that existing submissions prior to integration will receive the subcsription email for them to confirm and be added to the list.

    So you are saying that the person who signs up on my JotForm listing will have to again confirm subscription? And if I don't want that to happen (they're already confirming this on the form), import everything up to today and then uncheck the box? This means they will just automatically be added without additional confirmation?

    You are correct when the box is checked all previous submission contacts will receive an email for confirming the subcscription. They will not be added to the list unless they confirm the subcription via the email confirmation.

    You can just uncheck the box at the end of integration wizard so that the previous submission contacts will no longer receive the confirmation email. You can manually import the contacts from the previous submissions into your MailChimp list, with this procedure they will not receive confirmation email and will be automatically added to the list.

    Below is the note displayed at MailChimp when importing contacts into the list:

    'Importing does not send any confirmation emails to your list, because we trust you've already received permission' .

    If I uncheck the box... because I don't want previous form fillers to get the confirmation...

    If then someone fills out an existing form that is now integrated with Mailchimp ... what will they receive as far as confirming subscription?

    Is it something I need to style inside Mail Chimp and have some input on what is sent?

    Or is it something that JotForm sends?

    And, is the confirmation a required step if we integrate any of our forms with MailChimp?

    The email is sent out by MailChimp after a user fills out the form, it is more of a Welcome email confirming that that they subscribed to the list generally it includes the basic information they entered in the form such as the first name, last name and email address . There is no need for them to confirm or click a link anything of that sort to complete subscription. 

    You can customize the email in your MailChimp account. You can visit the following article from MailChimp for the instructions on how to customize the notification:


    Note: From the forms & response emails list select the Final 'Welcome' Email.
