when taking photos and uploading them from a ipad the pictures radomly come in upside down. So for wxample we upload 8 pictures and 3 to 5 of them will come in upside down in the form.  The pictures are right side up on the ipad and taken in the same orientation manner. Please advise.

I do not have iPad to test this issue, but from what I found on other thread this issue is related to iPhone and iPad. Images shot with iPhone/iPad are saved as Landscape Left with EXIF Orientation metadata specifying the actual orientation. However, orientation metadata is not always available, and not all the software utilize the orientation tag written by camera.

It means that when you click on the image link, your computer software is smart enough to rotate the image, but for example Windows Photo Viewer will show the image in default Landscape orientation without rotation.

I will raise this to our developers to see if we can improve upload tool to automatically detect the orientation and rotate uploaded images. However we can not provide you exact time when and if this will implemented.

Possible workaround is to upload your photos first to Dropbox. This will "freeze" the orientation. Than upload images form your form form Dropbox.
