Customize PDF Names on emails

    I would like to bump this, PDFs by email with submission_number.pdf is very unhelpful, we have to rename every one received so this would make jotform submissions so much easier to handle.

    Thanks a lot for your useful feedback, we'll definitely consider this. I opened a feature request ticket for this as well.

    While we are discussing the issue within our team, knowing your exact needs would really help. Could you share with us which information you use to rename these files for your operation? How do you rename your files? Can you give us some examples?

    Hi, we rename the PDFS as per certain fields.

    For example, we received a submission yesterday:~
    340519796638331485.pdf
    We renamed this to:
    Clare Cardiss CC GH9-269 - Formative - BBY
    ie
    {Student Name} {Form Title} - {Assessment type} - {Assessor Initials}

    As I'm sure you can appreciate, the submission number means absolutely nothing to us.

    All PDFs received with emails are uploaded to Google Drive, and renamed at the same time.  I believe the automatic file name works to an extent with Google Drive integration, however we found that it did not work where forms had pre-populated fields so we had to abandon that method.

    Are there any updates to this thread? Having the ability to rename the PDFs would resolve our issues as well.
