Seeing incomplete forms

Dear Jotform,

I just wanted a little help understanding what happens when a potential customer starts to fill in a form. 

I do see some forms that some people have begun to fill in, and can see how far they have got.

However a friend started in fill in our form on her computer, but I never received what she had filled in.

Do they have to have at least pressed the submit button?

No data will be able to be seen in the submission page unless the form has been completely submitted. A possible way would be to get the session in which the users opened and use the URL link to open the form. If you see our users guide:

How to Save Forms and Continue Later

You will see that this sample creates a URL with the session URL, so the user can go back to the form and continue filling it later. Once you have the URL you can go into the form and see how much it was filled.
