How can you delete a widget?

To delete a widget, simply click on the widget you want to delete and click the red X button on the top right of that widget.

More specifically, I am trying to edit the tab names and it is prompting me to delete the widget. How can I edit the "form tabs" I've created without deleting.

You just need to click on the "Wizard" icon and you should be able to edit the form tabs label. Please check the screenshot below:
