Can the data from each field in a configurable list be used in calculations?Asked by rbeck on June 06, 2016 at 11:59 AM
I am to incorporate a user-flexible form which allows users to add as many lines of information as they need to describe each item. The configurable list looks perfect for this. However, I am not sure how to map the value from each field or column into needed pricing calculations. Is there a way to accomplish that?
Unfortunately it is not possible to perform calculation with configurable list widget.
Possible workaround is to use regular fields. However you would need to add multiple fields to your form and use conditional logic to hide/show them as needed. More about conditional logic and how to perform calculation inside of the form, you can find inside of this guides:
You may like to take a look at our Spreadsheet widget which will allow you to add math functions to do the calculation.
You can also perform calculation with matrix field.
Hope this will help. Let us know if you need further assistance.
