Is it possible to import fillable PDF's created in acrobat? If so, can you tell me the status of my import?

Asked by Rebekah Rosado  on June 07, 2016 at 11:02 AM

    Hi There!

I submitted PDF forms to have them made fillable and submitable. I did so on Thursday, June 2, 2016.

I am just looking for an update on their status. I have a client waiting for them, eagerly.

Would greatly appreciate a status update.

Also, great work -- I love JotForm!!!

    Eagerly awaiting a response,

    Rebekah

I believe the tool used can only convert forms that were previously created using Adobe Forms Central.  However, the page does seem to imply that any PDF can be converted to be fillable and submittable.

I will forward this to our developers for confirmation, however, I do not be a form that was not previously a fillable PDF can be imported.

    Hi David,

Thank you for the response! The forms I had submitted were already made fillable in Adobe Acrpbat pro, I was just wanting to convert them into a form through JotForm and make them submittable.

Hope this helps..eagerly awaiting your response!

    Kindly,

    Rebekah

I am not 100% sure but I do not believe it is possible to import PDF's created in Acrobat using that import tool.  It appears to be the same one previously used for Adobe Forms Central fillable PDF form imports and that one was not capable of importing forms created in Acrobat.

I sent a request for clarification to be certain and if I am incorrect, hopefully we can get a status on your import.

    Hi David,

Thank you for the follow up. Has there been any clarification on the import?

I went back to where I had submitted the forms and found the image pasted below on this page: https://www.jotform.com/fillable-pdf-form-creator/. It doesn't seem to mention Adobe Forms Central-only conversions.

While, on the Forms Central Retired countdown, it does mention Forms Central imports: http://www.jotform.com/adobe-formscentral-alternative/ (image pasted below).

Really hoping for clarification, because if the forms I submitted for import are able to be converted, my client would like to join JotForm longterm.

Thank you in advance for all of your help!

I am also seeking clarification on this and it has been assigned to the developer who created the tool.  He should be able to let us know the specific limitations as soon as he gets to this ticket.

There have not been any updates as of yet.  If you would like to try to recreate the forms in JotForm manually in the mean time, we will be happy to help with whatever parts you have trouble with.
