Wish to have some method to make condition applicable for numeric value (not numeric field) of total function

Asked by theanhdbt on March 20, 2012 at 03:56 AM

My aim is to use the total value (summarized from all items in payment list) as a number (number format) to create a condition rule of showing/ hiding other fields. Unfortunately, it seems that the platform does not support to realize the total of payment field. It can only realize payment field as a field, but not for total as a element of that payment field => and the consequence is that we cannot make use of the returned value of total function to make condition applicable for number format. What a pitty.

Is that all I can do is make one more field (numeric field) under total (of course under payment field), and type a value equal to the automatic returned value of total. So that I can start to use condition applicable for numeric. In this case is there any automatic method to turn an automatic value into a field from another field (or field’s element like total function)

Thanks so much for all comment,

Best wish to jotform for great jobs,

Sadly the functionality you wish to have is not possible within the Form Builder you may however download the full source code and add some javascript code to achieve the form behavior you wish to have before embeding it to your website.

To get the full source codes for your form:
    1.  Go to Setup & Embed

    2.  Click the Embed Form button
    3.  Copy the code displayed in the Source Code.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mod,

    Thanks for your prompt reply,

This question is related to what I am trying to do which you can find in this link:

    http://www.jotform.com/answers/86070-Can-we-make-more-than-one-payment-tool-field-in-one-form#0

Almost is done thanks to payment tool, unfortunately, payment tool (I use payment tool to use its total function and other conveniences) doesn't support more than one field of payment tool in same form.

Take a look at the link for more information.

    Thanks for support,
