Setting up conditional questions and their responses.

Asked by jurullc on June 13, 2016 at 09:45 PM

My survey has conditional questions for each section of the survey.  If the user selects yes to the conditional question, additional questions appear.  After completing the survey, the user is presented with the score via the auto-response technology from each section.  I have two questions and/or concerns:

-If a person selects "no" to a certain section of the survey, the accompanying questions are skipped BUT the auto-response still displays that section of questions.   Is it possible for the auto-response to NOT DISPLAY the scores for sections that are skipped.

-If a section is skipped as a result of selecting "no" to the conditional question, are the required questions within that section that has been skipped still required to be answered.

    Thanks!

I would like to inform you that the hidden fields are set to be hidden in the email alerts by default so you do not need to change any setting. However, i did some tests and I can see that the hidden fields are still being shown in the email notification. To resolve the issue, please try removing the previous email notification and create a new one.

-If a section is skipped as a result of selecting "no" to the conditional question, are the required questions within that section that has been skipped still required to be answered.

Required fields that are hidden are not required to be answered. They will only be required if they are displayed on the form. So your user will not need to answer a required question if it is hidden after they select "no."

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
    Regards.
