Tax laws around online paymentAsked by TinyStep on June 16, 2016 at 08:18 AM
We are an India based company. Want to know the tax laws around the online payment for using the service. What is the service tax and TDS to be paid for the payments made for using Jotform.
JotForm does not impose any additional fees when using the payment integrations. You can simply add payment fields on your form by following this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/165-Setting-Up-Your-First-Order-Form
The list of payment integrations that we support can be found on this link: https://www.jotform.com/help/323-Mastering-Payment-Form-Integrations-with-JotForm
JotForm does not process payments, we simply integrate it to 3rd party payment processors via API, we forward the submission data to them and the payments are processed on their payment gateway and in their end.
Now with regards to tax laws, it will depend on the payment processor and your location, usually they are the ones who impose additional fees or taxes.
I hope that helps.
