Google Drive Integration: Allow form folders to be located on a different folder aside from the main root directory

    Hi,

I'm trying to set up Google Drive Integration, but JotForm is doing something counter productive.

Its not letting me chose in which folder to store the data and it is creating duplicate folders.

So, say I have a client and I have set up multiple forms in his website and I want all of his form data from different forms to be stored in the same Google Drive Folder so when I share it with my client, he will have access to all of his form data via that one Google Drive Folder and then in that one Folder, JotForm will be creating its own structure using the fields that I pick from the form to name the new folders, as it currently does.

The problem is, when connecting JotForm to Google Drive for different forms these options are not available and thus it creates duplicate name folders instead of matching it to existing names in Google Drive Directory.

Also it would be great to connect the account to google drive instead of having to do it for each form. But I get that that might prove difficult to do…

I'm sorry, unfortunately, the current Google Drive integration is designed to create the form folder in the root directory. It is not possible to assign a different folder in the integration wizard. However, you can manually move the form's folder in a custom folder that you created inside Google Drive. I tested it in my end and it works and still receives the submission, but I'm unable to guarantee that it won't break the integration at some point.

Let me forward this to our developers as a feature request. Please do note that I'm unable to guarantee that this change will be implemented anytime soon, but rest assure that we will update you on this thread as soon as we hear any news.

For the meantime, other the manually moving of form's folder, perhaps you can check Zapier, it has a JotForm-Google Drive integration, however, I am not sure if it allows setting up a different folder other than the root directly. If using FTP is an option in your end, then it's possible to assign different folders on it aside from the root directory, here's a guide for that: https://www.jotform.com/help/177-How-to-enable-FTP-on-form-submissions

    Thank you.

For the concern regarding connecting your JotForm account to Google Drive, I have opened a separate thread for it so that we can discuss better. Please refer to this link instead: https://www.jotform.com/answers/862270. We will address it shortly.

    Thank you.
