Can I securely transfer credit card info using any of your forms?

    See below a cut and paste from your website.  Please help clarify if the response below is still a solution to the initial question.  I am in exactly the same situation. I do not need a merchant account, I just need a secure way to get cc numbers transfered securely from my web site (via your form) to me.


    This is what I saw and your response.
       
    I'm looking for a secure payment form type that my customers can use to submit their payment with cc info to me for payment on travel arrangements. We submit the payments to the vendors, such as the cruise line, so there is no need for a merchant account.

    so that the communication will be done securely. You can give this page's address to your customers.

    Please excuse my ignorance, but if this is still a viable solution, I am not sure how to change http to https.  Can it be loaded as a click thru link?  Look forward to seeing your current solution(s).  Thanks, Bev

    I'm sorry but even if you are using the secure or HTTPS version of the form, we still do not allow collecting of credit card information using our basic text field. Please check our Terms of Use for more details: http://www.jotform.com/terms/. 

    If you'd like to collect a payment, we recommend using our payment integration. If you would like to charge your clients at a later date, you can enable the payment authorization.

    Thank you for taking time to address my situation. If you would kindly take just a few more minutes, I have a few more questions. Perhaps I do not understand the payment integration programs that you are suggesting. It was my understanding that those are the equivalent of a merchant account and I would incur charges for using them. I have the ability to process credit cards payments. I just need a way to securely get the account info. Can that be done with any of the payment integration programs you offer? Is there a charge even if I don't enable the payment authorization? Can I see the account info if the payment authorization is not turned on? I am a little confused. Thanks for all your help.

    Our payment integration handle all the processing of credit cards.  They do not collect and store the data.  For the security of users filling out forms, we do not allow for the collection of credit card details directly through forms.  As per our terms of use:

    Collecting Sensitive Information. You may not use the JotForm to collect certain types of sensitive information, including but not limited to credit card information and any type of login credentials. You may collect some sensitive information such as social security numbers or driver’s license numbers, but you are required to use best security practices of JotForm including SSL and Encrypted Forms features. You are solely responsible for compliance with any data protection and privacy laws and rules applicable to the sensitive information.

    The payment integrations do indeed have fee's associated with them depending on what the payment processor charges, however, using these payment processors is the only way we can ensure payment data is properly handled.

    David - I am sorry I am not a computer geek and that I do not understand your product as well as you do. I am just trying to solve an issue and your product does not appear to be the answer. I apologize if I took too much of your time. Thanks just the same.

    No worries at all, I hope I did not come across as abrasive.  We are happy to answer any questions you may have.  I was merely pointing out that we do not allow for the collection of credit card details through forms and why this is the case.  If have further questions, let us know and we will clarify anything you need.
