    Hello,

i try to collect voices from a mobile

i used the voice recorder but when i click on the link with my smartphone, there is no voice recorder available...

Does it mean that the form works only on desktop ?

    Hi,

Thank you for reporting. I tried as well using Chrome in Android device and only the Choose File upload appears instead of the Voice Recorder widget buttons. The widget uses Flash which is hardly supported on mobile.

Nevertheless, may I know what device and browser you are using to test?

    Hi Chriistian,

We've tested using multiple iOS and Android devices to test.

On iOS: iPhone 6/6S tried both chrome and sarafi
On Android: Xiaomi mi5, Sony Z5P, Acer (liquid jazz?) on Chrome

On Android, I can attempt to use the "sound recorder" after clicking on choose file to get a work around, but not on iOS.

Unfortunately iOS does not support flash. Here's an article regarding this issue: Why Apple Won’t Allow Adobe Flash on iPhone. Unfortunately there is no current workaround for this. Other browsers for android also do not have flash. The user will have to install a browser that supports flash to be able to record their audio directly through the form.

The Voice Recorder widget requires flash to record the sound, which means that if the browser itself does not allow or cannot use Adobe Flash, it will instead use the default upload field. With this upload field, your users will be able to record their sound and upload them to your form instead. Desktop browsers do still support flash, so you will be able to record audio there.
