    Lightbox & Feedback Form: Scrollbars are always showing on the lightbox window

    Just kidding, but seriously:

    Jotform used to be amazing. Why has it changed!? Why is it so hard to make something work now!? Please explain on a technical level what the F has changed in the last year to make Jotform so miserable! Is it the Internet? Is it Mobile? HTML5? Is someone new running the show? The prices have doubled or more, about 10% of notifications actually make it to an inbox, and OMG the impossibility of building a SIMPLE FORM.

     

    Jotform is supposed to be a quick and easy DIY form builder, but it has become my most time-consuming website. It is unreliable, testy, and a complete drain of my time and creative reserves.

     

    I would love for your software to suddenly WORK consistently and efficiently, but looks like I'm jumping ship. I've been asking since the birth of the Designer Platform for answers, changes, a new direction--but things have only gotten worse.

     

    Jotform, you're the weakest link where you used to be the secret to my success.

    Thank you for letting us know of your recent experience with Jotform. We are constantly improving jotform and including additional features for our users. However because of these improvements and the increase in data that we receive, we also need to sustain our server's capacities. Because of this, we needed to change our pricing structure, but we can assure you that the current pricing structure is competitive with other similar form builders in the market

    Regarding your issue with the scrollbars on lightbox, can you please provide us with the URL of your page where the form is embedded so we can check it further? I will wait for your response.

    I dropped the idea of having an onPageLoad lightbox, and went for a Feedback button.

    Here it is:

    Scrolls and all in both Firefox and Chrome.

    Note--I had to manually edit the code to change the Feedback button color from orange to black. No matter how many times I adjusted the code in the Jotform editor, the code still spit out the code for orange.

    Your comment about increasing prices for increasing services is ridiculous and doesn't at all address my complaint. My whole point is that you have NOT increased services. You have DECREASED services. A gorgeous car is worthless if it doesn't run! And I wouldn't even call this car gorgeous.

    Thank you for the update. I see that you were able to find a workaround for your issue. I cloned your form and it seems that I was able to change the feedback button color to black using the background option in the customization settings. However, manually editing the code is also a viable option for changing the color of the feedback button.

    Regarding the increase in our pricings, we apologize if we did not meet your expectations but the reason behind it was really to further improve the product. Over the last months, we have been adding new integrations and widgets. We are striving to alleviate the quality of our product and support. Rest assured that our marketing team has done a research before implementing the change in pricing structure. I checked your account if it will be affected by our new pricing structure and I noticed that your are currently in the old Premium plan. In which case, your current subscription will not be affected by our new pricing structure.

    Our sincere apologies.

    I was actually having the same problem yesterday after I crossed one so I completely understand how you feel. Seriously, why would one want a scrollbar on the form when not necessary? I seriously hate scrollbars just like you. :) Actually this has been an issue for quite some time so I escalated a ticket about this yesterday to our devs, you'll find it here https://www.jotform.com/answers/871624

    The problem:

    For the meantime, by adding this piece of CSS code on top of your feedback embed code would help get rid of that scrollbars.

    <style>.jt-content {overflow: hidden !important;}</style>

    It should look like this afterwards and it looks great! :)

    I will also escalate this thread to our devs so you'd get an update once this is fixed on the backend side.
