Do we need to process all PayPal payments manually?

    Hello there,

We sent a test to Paypal and the customer had $8 taken out of their account. The $8 is not showing on our Paypal area and the only way we were able to complete the submission was for us to physically approve the entry. Doesn't paypal send back come kind of notice through the gateway?

Does our staff have to auto approve all payments through the gateway? It seems a bit tedious and not worth our time if there is not handshaking that 1) payment was made and 2) payment received and acknowldeged and 3) entry is good due to payment received.

If we are having to step in manually, this is not quite the "auto" form we were looking for - is there something we are ot doing right? Please let us know...

    thanks,

We have turned off everything now because our test is not correct...we are missing money and do not want anyone else signing up if the money is lost.

    Please help.

Looking at the URL that you have mentioned I am getting the Server not found error, so I can not check out what is the form that you have on the same.

Even if so, I can see from what you have mentioned what is most likely that had happened.

PayPal will send the notifications to us to release the submissions (approve them automatically), however only if you have activated that option.

You can see more about it here:

Ah ha! So it's a toggle thing on the Paypal side !

    OK - off to paypal.
