So with your help, I've successfully done the calculation for my form. BUT, now the client would like to have the AVERAGE calculated too.  I tried to do it on my own - but am hoping you can point me to a thread for that?

    Thank you SO much!!

Could you please provide a link to the form in question?

Please also explain what kind of average do you need to calculate.

    Sorry!  Here it is: https://form.jotform.com/61806118379158

I was hoping to have an Average calculation of all the selected answers.  So I'm sure I have to keep the calculation, but need the average of those answers.  Does that make sense? Thanks!!

From what I see on that form, Annie, you essentially have 9 required questions. Answers on each of the 9 questions can have a value of either 1, 2, or 3.

To calculate the average, we simply need to sum the values of all 9 questions, and then divide them by 9.

I see that your calculation for the average is already set up correctly:

Your form is set to display result without any decimal places. If you want it to display decimal spaces as well, such as 1.33 or 1.44, please simply click on the "Show Advanced Options", and set the decimal spaces entry to the number you'd like:

The above method is enough to calculate the average, though I'd like to add that we also have dedicated mathematical functions as well:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/267-Form-Calculation-Math-Function-Reference

Among the mathematical functions, we have functions for calculating the average. In case of your form, however, the above setup you already have on your form is enough.

Please let us know should you need any further assistance, we'll be happy to help.
